my corolla has 140,000 miles on it and runs fine but 2 weeks ago the check engine light came on for a shift solenoid "E" malfunction. is it ok to drive the car like this or does it need to get fixed
Reply 1 : please help. shift solenoid
As I stated in your other post, you're probably not going to cause damage to your transmission but you should get that fixed. You won't want the solenoid to lock the torque converter and stick leaving you stranded on the road.
